First, what is your bands name and how did you come up with it/what does it stand for?

We are Last Embrace. Truly no grand meaning behind it, I just thought it up at work forever ago and thought it would make a good title. I always keep lists of random thoughts and it jumped out as a perfect band name.

When and why did this band form and how do you know each other?

The band formed technically in 2023, as I did a solo demo under the Last Embrace name. I tried to get a band together, but it never really clicked even though we played a few shows. About a year and a half ago, Scott (guitar), Josh (drums), and I decided to reconvene and build it from the ground up.

Who are the musicians in the band and what instruments do they play/would love to hear about each musicians personal gear preference and recommendations!

We have myself, Anthony, on vocals. We have Scott on guitar, Justin on bass, and Josh on drums. Special shoutout to Matt Humphrey and Ryan Curry for playing all of our 2025 shows on bass before Justin joined. As far as equipment goes, we are a Jackson loving band. Drum wise, Josh is kind of all over the place between using his stuff and Scott’s drum stuff.

Where are you located?

We are from Bangor Maine and we play Hardcore.

Have you been on tour/are you gearing up to be on tour soon?

No touring as we all have pretty busy professional/personal lives, but we have a weekender to Quebec and back planned for July. We are going to plan one or two more for the last half of 2026 around the greater Northeast.

What bands have you had the honor to play with or were your favorite?

We have been lucky to share the stage with not only the best Hardcore in general has to offer, but the best New England has to offer. Haywire, Missing Link, Cruel Hand, Death Before Dishonor, Stab, Mortar, Bad Move, Satiate, and way too many more to name.

What venue is your go to spot?

Our home base is the Old Town Theater, but our favorite venue to play has to be Rumors in Biddeford. Truly a packed room every time, full of the best energy. Shoutout the SVU team.

What bands/artists influence you and your music? Who do you sound like?

Collectively I would say our biggest influences are Hatebreed, Merauder, and 100 Demons.

What is your song writing process?

When it comes to writing, we get together for 2-3 hours once a week minimum and just play. One of us brings a riff or two, and we build off that together. Personally I am running to the bathroom at work all the time to hum riff ideas into my phone, so sometimes I sort through those and compose something from that.

Do you have any crazy show stories you’d love to share?

Nothing super specifically crazy has happened yet, but we have seen a few flying projectiles at times. That always causes a laugh or two.

Are you working on an album? If so when are you planning for it to be released? What can we expect to hear from it?

We are actively writing a new EP, with the hope to record before the end of the Summer and release it soon after. Hardcore is constantly moving so you gotta throw your name out frequently or you’re gonna get ran over.
